Shaare Zedek Brain Center: A Decade of Clinical Excellence — And How We Made the Brand Film
When a leading medical center celebrates a decade, the film must be as big as the achievement — academic, authoritative, and empathetic at once. Here's how we produced the brand film for the Helmsley Brain Center at Shaare Zedek.

The Context: When a Milestone Becomes a Statement
Ten years isn't just a number — it's an opportunity to pause, look back, and declare identity. Shaare Zedek Medical Center asked us to document the journey of the Helmsley Brain Center: from a small unit, to one of the leading neurological centers in Israel and the world.
The challenge was real: the audience is everyone simultaneously — patients who want to know they're in good hands, physicians seeking academic partners, donors wanting to see impact, and decision-makers measuring institutional ROI.

The Cinematic Approach: Large Format Cinema in Operating Rooms
We chose Large Format Cinema with fast prime lenses — exactly like feature films. This delivers Shallow Depth of Field that separates interviewees from the clinical background, high dynamic range that manages the complex lighting of operating rooms, and a sense of prestige that honors the level of achievement.
Lighting worked in two modes: controlled soft light in executive offices for interviews with the Medical Center President, CEO, and department heads — and realistic practical clinical lighting in catheterization and operating rooms that reinforces the technological image.
Post-Production: When Editing Is Part of the Story

Teal & Orange color grading complementing Shaare Zedek's institutional colors (blue-gold), natural skin tones for all interviewees, precise contrast respecting the medical environment.
Neural Network animations were custom-designed for transitions between segments — a visual that speaks to two audiences simultaneously: the medical audience that recognizes the similarity to neural networks, and the general audience that simply experiences something impressive.
Long Version + Short Version: One Asset, Two Purposes
We produced two versions from the raw footage: a comprehensive long version (4 minutes) suitable for academia, YouTube, and institutional presentations — and a short summary version for events, lobby screens, and social.
This isn't a short version cut from the long one — it's a separate edit with its own short script, beginning with a different hook and ending with a different call to action. Two films planned together from day one.
