High-Tech Without Filters: How to Make an Employer Branding Film Everyone Wants to Be Part Of | UserWay

When a fast-growing tech company like UserWay needs to recruit top talent — a standard recruitment video simply doesn't work. Here's how we broke the mold.

The Problem with Regular Recruitment Videos

"We're a less hierarchical company." "We have a game room." "We're like a family."

Every HR manager commissioning a recruitment video basically asks for the same thing: to say they're different — in exactly the same way everyone else says it.

UserWay came to us with a real problem: growing at breakneck speed, needing to recruit developers, designers, marketers — people who receive job offers every week. How do you make a recruitment video stand out in a LinkedIn feed?

The Approach: Comedy + Authenticity + Rhythm

We approached this project with one question: what's most real about this company?

The answer: smart people who love what they do — and aren't ashamed to be a bit weird about it.

The opening: Siri gets the command "find me talented developers" — and in a sharp cut we're at UserWay.

The department tour: - Design team: deep in VR worlds, suddenly emerging from the headset - Marketing team: creative, unpredictable, entrepreneurial - Development team: where a line of code meets a hit song - Legal team: sharp-suited, sharp-tongued, take no prisoners

Production Values: When You Can Cut Corners — You Don't

Lighting: Purple-blue palette matching UserWay's brand language — edgy, technological, contemporary.

AR/VR elements: Floating digital elements inside the frame — code, icons, interfaces — feeling natural, not pasted-on.

Editing: Whip pans and fast cuts synced to the beat. Every cut feels intentional, not random.

Close: All company employees + management together. "Change the World with UserWay." One of them.

The Result: A Film That Sets a New Standard

The video became an active recruitment tool for UserWay. Not because it said "we're great" — but because it showed great people, in action, without trying.

The line between PR and truth is exactly what makes candidates send their resumes.
